Reverie Channel
What is it?
Reverie Channel is a short surreal visual novel with point and click elements. You play as Ember as he explores the world he is set in filled with an odd and colorful cast of characters. While solving problems and completing a key to the mysterious Gate to Reality.
As a point and click the game focuses more on exploration and talking to characters while the visual novel part is seen throughout the dialogue and style of the cutscenes.
It leans more towards a kinetic novel aside from 1 choice that affects the ending.
What does it have?
- 2 endings.
- Weird locations inspired by different pieces of surreal art.
- Strange characters which sometimes have portraits.
- And music including chiptune and ambience.
The game is also relatively short so it wouldn’t take too long to complete. There is also the ability to play with a keyboard/controller and a mouse in case one or the other isn’t working.
While this game doesn’t try to be overly disturbing, some people may find this game disturbing for:
- Violence
- Unsettling imagery
